Assisted reproduction success rates in Clinica EUGIN

In the case of donor eggs, the age of the patient does not affect this IVF technique as the donor is always under the age of 35. The success rate for this treatment depends on whether the embryos transferred are fresh or frozen.

In the specific case of embryo donation, the eggs are always from a woman of under 35 years of age, with no health problems.

In Clinica EUGIN we carry out this treatment on women of up to 50 years of age.

In the case of the patient’s own eggs being used, it is important to know that women reach their maximum fertility between the ages of 20 and 35, and from that time onwards it starts to decrease. From the age of 35, this decrease in fertility becomes more marked, although the most significant decrease starts between 38 and 40 years, as can be seen in the evaluation of the results according to the women’s age group.

In Clinica EUGIN we carry out this treatment on women of up to 43 years of age.

The success rates for Artificial Insemination - both CAI and DAI – are, in some cases, cumulative, reaching their maximum between 3 and 6 attempts.

As a reference point, the average probability of non-assisted pregnancy is around 17%.

There are various factors which may affect the success of any of these techniques. The first is the ovarian reserve (a complex prediction of the type of ovarian response that can be expected with more or less intense ovarian stimulation). Other factors are: A history of prior surgery on the ovaries, a prior diagnosis of endometriosis, uterine anomalies (congenital or miomas), tubal or genetic factors. All of these may affect the results of a treatment course. For this reason, this information should, under no circumstances, be taken as a guarantee of individual success.
